Dear Southeast Chapter Members,
It is an honor to address you in my first message as Chair of the SCC Southeast Chapter. I am truly ecstatic to be following in the footsteps of former Chairs—Thomas O'Lenick, Ericka Bennett, Cubie Lamb, Steve “Chuck Norris” Baldwin and many other great leaders who have shaped and strengthened this Chapter over the years. Their dedication has set a strong foundation, and I am thrilled to continue building upon their legacy as we embark on an exciting year ahead.
Reflecting on 2025, I am proud to say that it was an extraordinary year for the Southeast Chapter. Our attendance at meetings and events grew by leaps and bounds, demonstrating the energy and engagement within our community. Two standout highlights were our vibrant Nashville “Rocking and Rolling” meeting at Revance and the highly successful Atlanta Suppliers’ Social—both events showcased the passion and participation needed to strengthen the Chapter.
As we look forward to the year ahead, my greatest enthusiasm lies in expanding our student engagement initiatives. Our goal is to increase visibility within universities, encourage participation, and foster healthy competition for the Southeast SCC Scholarships. Investing in the next generation of cosmetic scientists is central to our mission, and your continued support will play a significant role in making this possible.
I am also delighted to extend a heartfelt congratulations and welcome to our 2026 leadership additions:
Treasurer-Elect: Angie Sanders
News Editor: Jasmin Jeffery
We are looking forward to an amazing year with our 2026 Officers: Secretary – Jessica Wright, Treasurer – Dexter Williams, and Treasurer-Elect – Angie Sanders. Their commitment and enthusiasm will no doubt help propel our Chapter forward.
And of course, a very special thank you goes to Cathy Anglin for her incredible dedication—her hard work with sponsorships, newsletters, and countless behind-the-scenes efforts keeps the Southeast Chapter alive and thriving. We are deeply grateful for everything she continues to do.
Lastly, we are still on the lookout for a brave and willing individual to step into the role of Chair-Elect. If you, or someone you know, are/is interested in becoming part of our leadership team, I warmly encourage you to reach out. This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute meaningfully to our Chapter’s growth and future direction.
Thank you for your continued commitment to the Southeast Chapter.
Warm regards,
Erica Bell Chair
