Southeast Chapter Webmaster / Monday, August 24, 2026 / Categories: Southeast Home Page News Letter From the Chair - Fourth Issue Greetings, Southeast Chapter! Fellow members, if you weren’t able to join us in Nashville, you truly missed a fantastic evening! We were honored to welcome Univar Solutions for an engaging presentation, “Demystifying Silicones: Where Science Meets Real Performance,” presented by Paige Engerer and Rene Knez. Their presentation brought science and real-world application together in a way that left us with plenty to take back to the lab adding silicones back on the list for use. And, of course, we couldn’t end the evening without a little fun! The after-event at Pins Mechanical was a hit and gave attendees the perfect opportunity to connect, network, and keep the good energy going. I also want to extend a huge and heartfelt thank you to our sponsors for making this Nashville meeting possible. With your support, the Southeast Chapter reached a new milestone—10 sponsors for one event! Your continued investment in our chapter allows us to create meaningful experiences, strengthen industry connections, and provide opportunities for our members and students. Now, we’re taking that momentum to Atlanta wild-style! Our Atlanta Suppliers’ Social will be held at the Trolley Barn on September 24, 2026, and we could not be more excited about what’s in store. This year’s event is especially meaningful because Spelman College and Tuskegee University, Tuskegee having recently launched a new Cosmetic Science program, will be in attendance. Their participation represents exactly what we strive to accomplish as a chapter: connecting industry with education and serving as guides for the next generation of cosmetic scientists and industry professionals. There is still plenty of time to register to attend or become a sponsor, and we would absolutely love to see you there! As your Southeast Chair, I am incredibly proud of the momentum we are building together. From Nashville to Atlanta, we are creating opportunities to learn, connect, grow, and inspire the future of our industry. See you in Atlanta! Warm regards, Erica Bell Chair, SCC Southeast Chapter 0
