The Area 1 chapters of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists are teaming up to bring you "What Touches Your Skin: The Role of Laundry and Personal Care Products" on October 14^th (9am-4pm) at Serafresca (1620 Newfield Ave) in Stamford, CT. This seminar dives into the surprising common ground between laundry care and personal care formulation, and what it means for the products we put on our skin every day. Speakers include:

- Peter Tsolis, Vice President of Research & Development, Skincare Category at The Estée Lauder Companies Inc., exploring how technology and shifting consumer behavior are reshaping skincare formulation.
- Dr. Huifang Li, Research Fellow at the University of Rhode Island, presenting cutting edge research at the intersection of natural product chemistry and skin biology.
- Marisa Plescia, President of National Society of Cosmetic Chemists HQ and Founder of FemChem Beauty, reframing sunscreen as a "second skin" and what that means for formulators.
- Valerie Gendelsman, Senior Manager of the all® laundry detergent product development team at Henkel, bridging the science of laundry and personal care formulation.
- Plus a keynote from Ellen Shepard, Senior Director of R&D Personal Care North America at Unilever.

Family members are welcome.  Food and open bar included in adult ticket prices. Food and beverages included in child ticket prices. In the event of inclement weather, tickets will be refunded.
