Hello LISCC!

Hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy. We had a great turnout at the March chapter meeting, might have been one of the biggest ever (~130 attendees), to hear John Gormley give a great speech on current industry regulatory topics. I was happy to see everyone enjoying themselves at a new venue to LISCC meetings. Our annual ski trip (this year back at Killington, Vermont) was also a great success. There were around 40 people in attendance at the lodge, which is terrific. Thank you to Ina Schlenoff and Vlad Onyshchak for their hard work organizing as always!

I am glad that we are finally into Spring and the warmer weather is upon us and I want to give my well wishes to anyone that has/is celebrating anything recently or in the near future. Ramadan, Easter, St. Patrick’s Day, Passover, Orthodox Easter and anything I may have missed.

We had a successful turnout for our April meeting this year (Thursday, April 25th) at the Northport Yacht Club, always a favorite venue on the water.

Our Annual Fishing trip will be June 2nd at Captree State Park. Please reach out to James Lyons (jlyons@Estee.com) if you would like to volunteer, the chapter needs YOU!

The Annual Picnic will be on June 15th at Hecksher State Park at the Deer Range Pavilion, and it will be Pirate themed! As I mentioned previously, we are working to upgrade the LISCC chapter website to improve accessibility to event information, registration ticket purchasing, executive board information and more. Please reach out to me if you would like to volunteer for a website committee, newsletter committee, or general chapter involvement. You can forward any of your company’s employment opportunities, or other topical/fun content for future newsletters to Lydia Fernandez. Reach out to John Tobin if you would like to discuss newsletter sponsorship opportunities.

In closing, we are all very excited for the things to come this year, we greatly appreciate of all the hard work that everyone has been putting into keeping the chapter thriving, and hope to see you at the future events. Wishing you all a happy and prosperous Spring!

Best Regards,
Zach Humbert
