Call for Student Posters at SCC79

Showcase your research to attendees – and potential employers – at SCC79! Students are encouraged to submit an abstract of original work to exhibit their posters relevant to cosmetic science.

Judged by the Committee on Scientific Affairs (COSA), prizes will be awarded at the SCC Awards Breakfast on December 17, 2025, as follows:

First Place ($800) | Second Place ($600) | Third Place ($400) | Fourth Place ($200)

Terms & Conditions:

Student poster spaces are limited and accepted on a first-come, first-served basis; completed online applications must be received by July 25, 2025.
Only Student or Junior members are eligible to submit an abstract for consideration.
Please consult with your academic advisor for approval prior to submitting your abstract details/application form.
Accepted student posters will be notified no later than August 1, 2025.
Poster presenter must register for event by October 15, 2025, as a Full Access registrant (see current rates here). Full Access includes admission to all scientific sessions and meals; early bird rates end September 12, 2025.
If hotel accommodations are needed, students should book their room using the SCC Room Block.
All expenses (including hotel, transportation/travel, and meeting registration) are the responsibility of the student; we strongly suggest seeking sponsorships from your universities and/or internships.

BOARD SIZE: 8ft W x 4ft H

ACTUAL DISPLAY SIZE: 94" W x 46" H (Horizontal layout)

Exhibit Space Contains:

One (1) poster board with push pins, and exhibit number sign

Poster Must Contain

The Society will be accepting the best student abstracts to be presented for poster presentation during the Annual Meeting. All abstracts should be an original body of work (presented in English) containing:

Materials/Ingredients used (complete trade names & INCI nomenclature required)
Results of the research
Conclusion(s)
Why is this research of importance to the industry?

Student posters may also include experimental data, graphs, illustrations/photos.

Student Poster Location

Student poster presentations will be located in the Lenox room in the Sheraton NY Times Square.
