Course Overview

Creating a product or brand is a collaborative team effort. Understanding the roadmap from a high-level perspective that includes understanding all cross-functional Beauty Development teams allows for an ease of flow of communications and speed to market for product development.

In this course we highlight the goal of the Marketing Product Developers and their alignment of the product to consumer satisfaction while communicating their vision in creating products to the cross-functional technical teams.

From this one day in-person class work, attendees will walk away with a foundational understanding of the fuller scope of product development from a marketing perspective and alignment of teams involved for clearer project management and workflow.

About the Instructors

Cherie Buziak

Cherie Buziak is the founder of BeautyEdge LLC, a boutique consultancy driving brand strategy, innovative product development, and 360 marketing for the beauty and wellness industries. 

With 20+ years in the beauty industry working with Companies like Avon, Bath & Body Works, StriVectin, Real Techniques, and Coty/Sally Hansen to name a few, plus shaping strategy for Indie brand disruptors, she bridges the gap between R&D, technology, and marketing into impactful go-to-market strategies from product concept to launch.

She was integral in creating the acclaimed “Story Behind the Science” platform for in-cosmetics North America, delivered trend and innovation talks at the very first BeautyAccelerate platform along with marketing presentations at NYC Suppliers’ Day, and other industry platforms. She contributes to GCI Magazine, in-cosmetics Connect, BeautyMatter and other industry communications.

A triple-state licensed cosmetologist/esthetician (NY, PA & FL), Cherie brings consumer insights from both clinical and artistry perspectives working instore with prestige brands like Lancome, Estee Lauder and Bobbi Brown. She also mentors emerging talent as part of the Rutgers MBS externship program, where her teams have won Best Presentation for three (3) consecutive semesters and earned scholarship awards for team leaders.

Geri has extensive experience in what it takes to build a company, she built her own company Architectural Beauty for over 10 years, she sold her company to Fusion PKG in 2019. Throughout her career, Geri has worked with top-tier brands like L'Oréal, Elizabeth Arden, Clinique, and numerous prestigious contract manufacturers. She has developed and launched products across a range of beauty categories, offering expert insights into consumer trends, product formulation, and sales strategies. Geri’s extensive background spans across retail, corporate, and manufacturing sectors, allowing her to bring a unique, holistic perspective to every project. She has trained beauty sales teams, led consumer testing, and collaborated closely with R&D teams to create innovative product concepts for some of the most recognized names in beauty.
