University of Miami's New Innovative Program Awarded the Proctor and Gamble Higher Education Award: Enrollment starts in fall of 2023

The new Master Program in Product Design at the College of Engineering, University of Miami is tackling industrial challenges while teaching graduate students the required skills to take new innovations from concept to commercialization.

This unique program is designed to develop the next generation of product engineers for the formulated product industries, consisting of unique technical courses in chemical product design (formulation), aerosols, biomaterials, regenerative medicine, soft matter & colloids, bionanotechnology, data analytics, and more! The expanisve curriculum is complimented by courses in entrepreneurship, innovation and project management, and an industry guided research project offering hands-on R&D expertise in automated formulation platforms, advanced characterization, and AI/Machine Learning approaches. [READ MORE]

UC Cosmetic Science Launches New Program: New hygienic manufacturing graduate certificate will help meet industry needs

The UC online cosmetic science program has been growing at a rapid rate over the past few years. One area that is not covered under their current programs is on manufacturing aspects of cosmetic products.

The Personal Care Products Council (PCPC), an umbrella organization of major cosmetic product manufacturers, recently identified hygieneic manufacturing of cosmetic products as a major challenge in the industry as current trends are shifting to more natural and less efficacious preservative systems. Thus, the initative for the Hygienic Manufacturing of Cosmetic Products Graduate Certificate was created in effort to launch a training program that will fill the gap in preservation science, plant engeineering, and will help address unmet needs in cosmetic science education. NYSCC Suppliers’ Day Reunites the Beauty Industry for Most Comprehensive Ingredients & Formulations Event in North America

November 12, 2021

The beauty and personal care product development community came together, November 10th and 11th for one of the most important Suppliers’ Day in its history, according to association executives with NYSCC (New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists). More than 6,800 registrants eager to find solutions to current challenges, met with over 380 exhibitors across 75,000 sq. ft. of exhibit space at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
