Louis Joseph DePasquale Sr.

The Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SCC) mourns the loss of one of its members, Louis Joseph DePasquale, Sr., who passed away on January 11, 2025, with his loving wife by his side. A member of the SCC Midwest Chapter for 14 years, Lou made a lasting impact on the cosmetic science community and chemical industry. His commitment extended beyond the local chapter—he served on SCC national committees in 2023, always showing up with passion, warmth, and an eagerness to contribute. 

Known affectionately as “Lou” or “Louie D,” he was a friend to many and liked by even more. Lou was the kind of person who would always raise his hand to help, volunteer his time, mentor a colleague, or raise a glass in celebration. With a warm hug and a kiss on the cheek, he greeted the world with heart and humor. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched and the many he guided with wisdom, kindness, and generosity.

Louis was a devoted husband of Connie DePasquale, proud father and stepfather, and was a cherished grandfather and great-grandfather.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Frances and Joseph DePasquale, and his siblings Michael (Charlene) DePasquale and Rose Marie Orange.

A memorial mass was held on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Saint Michael Catholic Church, 14327 Highland Avenue, Orland Park, IL. A luncheon followed at Silver Lakes Country Club.
