Southeast Chapter 2024 Scholarship

Purpose

The Society of Cosmetic Chemists Southeast Chapter is proud to offer a scholarship to a qualified undergraduate or graduate at an accredited four-year college or university. This scholarship is a part of the Southeast Chapter’s commitment to fostering the development of intellectual science majors from diverse backgrounds.

Award

Recipient of the scholarship will receive $1,500 payable for the Spring Semester of the following academic year.

Eligibility

Students who meet the selection criteria and are enrolled in a chemical, physical, medical, pharmaceutical, biological, or related sciences and technology, relative to the cosmetics and personal care industry discipline at an accredited college or university are eligible to apply.

Selection Criteria

Scholarship recipients will be selected by the Southeast Chapter’s scholarship committee based on the following criteria:

• Academic merit and achievements

• Commitment to pursuit of a career in science discipline

• Extracurricular activities

• Research projects related to the field of study

• Leadership attributes

Application Requirements

To be considered for a SECC 2024 Scholarship Award, applicants must submit the following documents to the Society of Cosmetic Chemists by November 20, 2024:

• Completed application form

• Resume, if applicable

• Academic Transcript

• Personal Statement
