Christie is a Sales Manager- PC for Zschimmer and Schwarz. Z&S manufactures surfactants, emollients, emulsifiers, syndets, functional ingredients and polymers. She has been with the company since March 2021. Christie has been in the personal care industry for multiple years working for both distribution and manufacturing. As for the OVSCC, she was Chair elect in 2019, 2020 Chair, and have been involved in event planning in since 2021.

Kendra has been in her role as Midwest Account Manager at DeWolf Chemical since June of 2022. Before becoming an account manager, she worked as a Cosmetic Chemist in Blue Ash, OH for Chemspire/Deckner Innovation & Consulting/Athena Medical Products with some consulting on the side. Kendra received her BSPS in Cosmetic Science and Formulation Design from the University of Toledo and her MBS through Rutgers University in Personal Care Science. Through her time at the OVSCC Kendra has served on the PR Committee, Chair-Elect in 2020, Chair in 2021, and Secretary through 2022 & 2023. Outside of the cosmetic industry, Kendra is an avid traveler and volunteers at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens & the Newport Aquarium as a diver in her free time.

Abigail is a Ph.D. student at the University of Cincinnati and has been a member of OVSCC for three years now. She earned a BS in chemistry from Illinois State University and moved to Cincinnati shortly after to begin her graduate studies. She is grateful for the opportunity to be more involved in SCC and continue learning more about the industry.

Suzy is currently a sales professional for Lygos. She started in the personal care arena in 2008 launching a ‘beauty from within’ publication and working with chemical suppliers marketing their ingredients to R & D formulation chemists. Some of her time has been spent in chemical distribution helping customers in Indiana and Ohio with commodity and specialty materials. Pre-health crisis, she enjoyed attending many personal care events across the globe: in-cosmetics, Society of Cosmetic Chemists, DCAT, Cosmetic Executive Women, and Cosmetic Industry Buyers and Suppliers.

Suchitra is a Ph.D. Candidate (5th Year) at the University of Cincinnati, majoring in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a focus on Cosmetic Science in James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy. She obtained her Bachelor's and Master of Pharmacy from the University of Mumbai. Shortly after graduating in 2015, she joined Lubrizol Advanced Materials-The Lubrizol Corporation in India as a Trainee Scientist. She was part of the Life sciences division of the company and worked on controlled-release formulations using Carbopol polymers. After working there for 2 years she moved to Cincinnati to begin her doctoral studies. She has served as webmaster at OVSCC through 2022 & 2023

Charles is currently the Regional Sales Manager for Hallstar Beauty, a personal care ingredient manufacturer in Darien IL. Charles completed undergraduate studies at the University of Kentucky and later completed his MBA at the University of Louisiana-Monroe. He has held sales positions since 2012 in the Nutraceutical, Essential Oils/Fragrance, and the Personal Care industry. He now enjoys studying chemistry in his home lab where he formulates lotions and creams.

Laurie McFee is an accomplished personal care veteran with 14 years of sales, marketing, and leadership experience. She currently resides in Columbus, OH where she works remotely as a Sr. Sales Manager at Innospec, a manufacturer most well-known for sulfate-free surfactants, solvents, and silicones. She received her bachelor’s degree in conservation biology from Kent State University in 2004 and later returned for her MBA from Temple University in 2020. Outside of the office, Laurie is committed to volunteering with The Cat Welfare Association, feeding colony cats, attending CrossFit classes, and going on hiking/camping trips.
