The FLSCC Chapter Sunscreen Symposium was a resounding success this year, and we owe a massive debt of gratitude to the heart and soul of the event: our incredible volunteers! These dedicated individuals worked tirelessly behind the scenes and on the front lines, ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish. We simply couldn't have done it without them.

Running the Show: General Sessions and Registration

Our volunteers were the backbone of the entire operation. They expertly administered and worked our general sessions, helping to manage attendees, direct traffic, and ensure presentations and Q&A sessions flowed seamlessly. Their presence allowed our speakers and organizers to focus on delivering high-quality content, making the attendee experience top-notch.

First impressions are everything, and our team nailed it. Volunteers were instrumental in the registration desk setup and management. From organizing materials to directing the flow of hundreds of attendees checking in, their efficiency and friendly faces set a welcoming and professional tone for the entire symposium.

Perhaps one of the most Herculean—and yet essential—tasks was preparing the attendee swag. A huge shout-out goes to the team of volunteers who took on the monumental job of stuffing 800 backpacks! Carefully sorting and packing materials, samples, and goodies into every single bag requires patience and teamwork, and they tackled it with enthusiasm and speed. Seeing all those packed bags ready for attendees was a testament to their dedication.
