Dr. Prithwiraj Maitra is Vice President of Global Skincare R&D at Allergan Aesthetics (AbbVie), where he leads strategic research and innovation for the SkinMedica and DiamondGlow brands. With over 20 years of experience in beauty and personal care R&D, Dr. Maitra is dedicated to advancing evidence-based skincare through fundamental understand of critical protective & regenerative properties of skin. Prior to joining Allergan in 2019, he held leadership roles in global beauty R&D at Johnson & Johnson, Avon & Colgate Palmolive. Dr. Maitra holds a Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry from Temple University and executive leadership certifications from MIT Sloan and Wharton. He is an author of numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, and is the inventor on more than 80 patents and pending applications.
