Yung Chan, Lab Manager and Product Leader at Applechem, a Solabia Group company, blends extensive STEM knowledge with sharp business acumen. Holding dual B.S. degrees from Rutgers (Biochemistry, Nutritional Science) and an M.S. in Chemistry from UNC–Chapel Hill, plus a Master of Business and Science in Chemical Engineering, she possesses a robust academic foundation.

Yung's career evolved from pharmaceutical research to a passion for the fast-moving consumer goods industry. Since joining Applechem, she has taken on increasing leadership responsibilities, including spearheading innovation in diverse dispersion technologies and novel ingredient delivery systems.

With a decade of research experience across diverse industries, Yung is now a pivotal figure in sun care. She advises on SPF formulation strategies and provides critical support to customers and distributors, solidifying her expertise in photoprotection. She actively mentors team members while promoting a culture of teamwork and results-oriented innovation.
