Philip holds a MS in Cell and Molecular Biology from Michigan State University and has been with BASF for 9 years working with R&D and customers to provide new skin and hair care actives. When working in R&D, his last three products won five international awards at PCHi and In-Cosmetics for being either a best new ingredient or most innovative. Philip has written multiple patents and over a dozen research articles relating to new personal care ingredients. He has been a featured speaker at dozens of industry events and seminars. He was awarded the Hans Schaeffer award in 2020 and 2021 for presenting the most innovative cosmetic science paper.
