Remo holds a PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Bern, Switzerland, and completed his studies as a postdoc at UC San Francisco. He is currently a Senior Lead Scientist at dsm-firmenich in the business unit Perfumery & Beauty, located in Basel, Switzerland. Remo’s focus is on the global research and development of bioactives and vitamins for the skin and hair care market. As such he has +17 years’ experience in translating scientific evidence into cosmetic claims. He is a member of the Swiss SCC presidium as well as the DGK scientific advisory board where he chairs the expert group Exposome.
