Carl Austin Helmers was born on February 5, 1937 and passed away unexpectedly on May 17, 2021. Carl spent his childhood in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Jacksonville, FL as a young man. He was a chemist by trade and spent most of his 55 year career developing and manufacturing personal care products before retiring from Revlon (Colomer) as Director of Research and Development. Carl was a loving, kind, God fearing man whose faith in the Lord was unshakable. His Christian witness, especially through the love he had for playing his guitar, touched countless lives.

Carl was a member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists for 35 years.

Carl is survived by his wife, Susan; daughters, Aimee Tabak (Gabe), Laura Ware (Don) and Anita Rahman (Milan); son, Carl Helmers (Jill Matejcek); stepsons, Kyle Maulbetsch and Kevin Maulbetsch; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
