Winner(s) will also be invited to accept the framed certificate award on-stage during the SCC78 Annual Scientific Meeting & Showcase, December 11-13, 2024, in Los Angeles, CA.

Submissions for the 2024 Green Star Award will be accepted May 1, 2024 through July 13, 2024.

Program & Submission Details

  1. To be considered for the Green Star™ Award, complete applications must be received by July 13, 2024.
  2. The submission must be a commercialized product and must include the following:
    1. ONLINE:
      1. Completed application

  3. Submissions will be reviewed by a Committee of formulation and ingredient experts who will make their determination based on the Green Star™ Rating, a classification system developed by industry professionals designed to allow the formulation chemist the ability to maximize the natural component in products. The higher the Green Star™ rating, the “greener” the product.
  4. Award determination is governed by the Committee's assessment of the product’s:
    • novelty
    • level of innovation in formulation
    • creativity in fulfilling the marketing claims
    • efficacy using “green” ingredients
    • packaging sustainability

The Committee’s decision is final.  Winner(s) will be notified on or about October 1, 2024.

The submission deadline for the Green Star Award is Saturday, July 13, 2024.
