Held in the heart of Philadelphia, this event marked a significant milestone for our chapter and the industry’s shift toward eco-conscious innovation.

The symposium offered an intensive afternoon of inspiring talks and cutting-edge research focused on real-world solutions for the green tech movement.

A Gen-Z Perspective on Leadership

In her recent 2026 inaugural letter, MASCC Chair Khadijah Oyefusi reflected on the success of the symposium as a "small win" that deserves a big celebration. As a Gen-Z chemist, Khadijah emphasized that events like these are vital for "elevating technical education" and ensuring our chapter reflects exactly where the beauty industry is headed.

The Green Technology Symposium wasn't just about formulas; it was about building a community of "seasoned intellectuals" and rising stars working together to make a lasting impact.
