Milan Scott, aka The Cosmescientist, is the powerhouse behind Keseana Cosmetic Labs, an innovative cosmetic R&D laboratory based in the Baltimore area. With a Master of Science in Cosmetic Chemistry, Milan is a product development expert who blends science and beauty in ways that challenge conventions. Milan’s personal brand, The Cosmescientist, is all about showing that science is sexy. She’s made it her mission to highlight the power of cosmetic chemistry, not just for beauty junkies but for aspiring scientists, especially people of color, to see the endless possibilities in STEM. Alongside her R&D work, she founded the Keseana STEM Scholarship, empowering the next generation of scientists by supporting high school seniors pursuing STEM education. A 2025 40 under 40 LIU Alumni Excellence Award Recipient, 2022 30 under 30 Changemaker Award recipient, a Cosmetic Chemist Board of Advisors Member for Prequel Skin, and a proud member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists, Milan has been featured in major publications like Beauty Independent, Refinery29, and New Beauty Magazine. Whether she’s developing products or mentoring future scientists, Milan is always at the intersection of beauty and innovation, bringing culture, creativity, and science together.
