Mallory Peterson is a technical perfumer in the duplications department of Chemia Corporation. She completed her undergraduate degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from the University of Missouri- St. Louis. Mallory started her career at Chemia Corporation as a lab technician and worked her way up to the analytical perfumery department where she develops fragrance duplications. Mallory has been an SCC member since 2022 and is happy to have the opportunity to serve on the board as the 2026 Chair.

Sophie Bonham is Associate Director of Formulation at Cosmos Corporation. She received her bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Southern Illinois University -Edwardsville. Sophie has over 10 years of experience in personal care and pet care formulation. She resides in St. Louis with her husband Jarrod, and energetic dog Sawyer. Sophie has served on our local chapter’s board for many years.  She serves as the Chair-Elect for 2026. 

Alexa K. Long is the Director of Regulatory Affairs for Chemia Corporation with a passion for Beauty, Science, & Research. She holds her Masters in Pharmaceutical Science with an emphasis in Cosmetic Science from the University of Cincinnati, MBA in Entrepreneurship from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and BS in Biology from Chicago State University. She began her career studying Trichology under L'Oreal’s Sr. Hair Scientist. Alexa currently specializes in the research of pre - market cosmetic regulatory requirements, domestic and international import- export requirements, and international government compliance issues related to the fragrance and flavor industry. Alexa will serve as Treasurer on the 2026 St. Louis SCC Board.

Dr. Dale Sanson has been a Formulation/Organic chemist for over 30 years and obtained his doctorate at the University of Missouri, Columbia. He also has holds BS degrees in Chemistry and Counseling Psychology, as well as an MBA in Management. He is the 2026 Secretary for the St. Louis Chapter of the Society of Cosmetic Chemistry. He is the Senior Director of R&D for Fresh and Clean Pet Grooming Products.
