Brendan Moriarty

Brendan Moriarty is a dedicated professional with a strong background in sales, business analysis, and operations. As the Inside Sales Manager at Glenn Corporation, he specializes in driving business growth, cultivating customer relationships, and managing leads within his territory.

Brendan is actively engaged with industry associations and frequently represents his company at trade shows and seminars, continuously expanding his expertise. With four years of industry experience, he holds an MBA in Leadership and a Bachelor’s in Accounting from Johnson & Wales University. His commitment to professional development is evident in his involvement in mentorship programs and various community roles.

A lifelong resident of Rhode Island, Brendan is also a devoted father to his two daughters. In his free time, he enjoys attending live sports events, coaching youth sports, and spending quality time with his family.

Joy Welsh

New England Chapter Secretary

Joy Welsh is a highly experienced cosmetic chemist with a career spanning over thirty years. She began her journey in the cosmetics industry at Crabtree & Evelyn, a well-known company specializing in bath, body, and home fragrance products. During her time there, she gained valuable knowledge and expertise in cosmetic product development.

She has also led product development roles at Commonwealth Soap & Toiletries, Living Proof, and Pure Haven, LLC. Currently, Joy holds the position of Inside Sales Account Manager at DeWolf Chemical, an Azelis Company, where she utilizes her extensive industry knowledge to manage sales accounts and assist customers.

Throughout her career, she has been an active member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists. Her longstanding commitment to the Society is demonstrated by her dedication to serving this community. She was Area I Director from 2013-2015 and has served as Chair, Chair-Elect, and Secretary for the NESCC for numerous years. Her consistent involvement and willingness to take on responsibilities highlight her commitment to the advancement of the organization and its members.

Tracey Mefford

New England Chapter Chair

Tracey Mefford has over 20 years of experience in the cosmetic industry. She is currently an Account Manager at DeWolf Chemical, an Azelis Company, where she leverages her expertise to expand the company’s market share. She excels in fostering client relationships and identifying new sales opportunities.

She is actively involved in DeWolf’s Mentorship Program, assisting in the training of new sales hires and supporting individuals within the organization who are beginning careers in sales. Additionally, she serves as a committee member for various pilot programs at DeWolf, including Cirrus Insight and Salesforce best practices.

Beyond her professional role, Tracey is passionate about giving back to the community. She volunteers with the MAE Organization, which promotes healing and mental wellness for at-risk individuals and those affected by homelessness by providing essential resources such as clothing, meals, and shelter.

Tracey is an active member of the NESCC executive board and looks forward to serving as Chair in 2025.

Beth McGowan

New England Chapter Treasurer

Beth McGowan has been in the cosmetic industry for over 30 years and has been a member of the SCC since 1990, serving the New England Chapter in various capacities, including Secretary, Chair-Elect, and Chair. She has held the role of Treasurer for over 20 years.

She was Vice President of Operations at Oraceutical, a consulting group specializing in the development and manufacturing of oral care, personal care, and veterinary products. Previously, she served as Manager of Research & Development for Stanley Home Products, a direct marketer of household and personal care specialties.

Beth holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts and an MS in Engineering Management from Western New England College.
