Our Keynote Speaker, Emily Rene White is an award-winning licensed massage therapist and Transformational Coach. She is passionate about teaching others the importance of living a healthy lifestyle and how to experience more joy and fulfillment in every area of their life. Her mission is to help others become their best selves so they can serve and contribute at a higher capacity for their family, community, and the world.

Kelly A. Dobos is a consultant cosmetic chemist and adjunct professor of cosmetic science for both the University of Toledo and the University of Cincinnati. Kelly has 20 years of expertise in developing both skin care and color cosmetic formulations working for notable companies like Bonne Bell, Purell, and Kao USA. She graduated from Oberlin College with a Bachelor's degree in chemistry and obtained a Master of Science in pharmaceutical sciences with an emphasis in cosmetic science from the James L Winkle College of Pharmacy (WCOP) at the University of Cincinnati. She is a recent recipient of the GOLD (Graduate of the Last Decade) Distinguished Alumni Award from the WCOP. Kelly also holds an MBA from Cleveland State University. A member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists for 18 years, Kelly has served at the local and national level in roles including Area Director, the Committee of Scientific Affairs (COSA), and the Editorial Review Committee for Journal of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists. Kelly was elected as the Society's President in 2019. Kelly is an inventor on 4 patents and has written numerous technical and educational articles for cosmetic science publications like Cosmetics and Toiletries. She is also part of the American Chemical Society’s expert panel and serves as a subject matter expert for magazines like Allure and New Beauty in addition to news organizations like NPR, the Washington Post and most recently the Wall Street Journal.

Matt Zoeller is currently the Applications Manager for the Specialty Division of 3V Sigma USA based in Georgetown, South Carolina, part of the 3V Group of Bergamo, Italy. Before this venture Matt spent over 35 years in technical management positions in contract manufacturing businesses in the Chicagoland area where he was integral to the development and technology transfer of thousands of personal care products for hundreds of beauty brands. He contributes knowledge to formulators around the world and is the host and science writer for the popular YouTube channel 3V Sigma USA Makin’ it with Matt. He holds two topical drug patents and a B.S. Chemistry from Roosevelt University in Chicago, where he spent most of his life and contributed to the Midwest Chapter of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists.

Perry Romanowski (IFSCC lecturer) joined the IFSCC Praesidium as Chair of Education in 2019. He earned his BS in Chemistry and MS in Biochemistry from DePaul University, and began his career at Alberto Culver. He founded ChemistsCorner.com, an online educational company for cosmetic chemists. He is also co-host of the popular beauty podcast The Beauty Brains. Previously President of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists (USA & Canada) he has held numerous other offices at national and regional level.

Susan Sperring is a Sr. Technical Manager at Symrise. Prior to Symrise, she also worked at Momentive Performance Materials, where she was the North American Marketing Manager for Personal Care and Home Care and Avon Products where she was a chemist for Global Skin Care. Sue has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from State University of New York- College at Oneonta and a master’s degree in Cosmetic Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University

Paolo Vigilante Paolo Vigilante is the Technical Director of Specialty Chemicals for 3V SIGMA USA INC, located in Georgetown, SC. Paolo’s responsibilities are focused on the technical support of 3V SIGMA USA Customers for North America and Canada, new product development, and test methods for claim substantiation and regulatory support. He has extensive analytical skills and deep knowledge in the chemistry of cosmetic ingredients.

Joanne Golas is a recognized and respected industry expert in Hair Styling design, development, formulation, and innovation. Over her tenure at Nouryon for more than 35 years, she has collaboratively supported hundreds of customers globally in formulation, training, troubleshooting and manufacturing.  Her depth of experience has helped create an extensive library of go-to solutions, and her work has been instrumental in influencing regulatory outcomes and helping customers adapt to them.

Frank Wagner VP, Business Development with SCT, has been a part of the surfactant industry since 2000. After graduating with a BS in Chemistry from Governors State University, Frank got his start with McIntyre Group in QC and Analytical Chemistry and then progressed in his career to work for Rhodia/Solvay. Since then, he has held about as many positions as there are facets in the surfactant industry, such as: technical service, distribution account management, and research and innovation. If you have ever worked with nitrogen chemistry or specialty amphoteric surfactants, chances are you have handled something Frank has worked on. Leadership goes beyond the commercial chemical world, as he previously served as treasurer-elect, treasurer and chair for the Midwest chapter of the SCC and has been a member of the organization since 2003. Surfactant synthesis may have impassioned Frank in the kitchen, his other lab, where he enjoys home brewing and making bread.

Abhijit Bidaye is the Applications Manager – Consumer Care at Croda Inc. During his 26-year career in the personal care industry, he has spent 23 years of his employment on the supply side of the industry with Croda Inc. in both Skin Care and Hair Care. His current focus is on Sun care, Color cosmetics and Sustainable innovation. Abhijit is a graduate of University of Cincinnati MS in Cosmetic Science program. He has BS in Pharmacy from University of Pune, India. He has presented at various industry related events and has chaired NYSCC Sunscreen symposium events.

Renata K. Girnius joined Orchidia Fragrances in 2014 as an in-house perfumer, having previously worked for several years in the fragrance industry throughout the United States. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from the University of Illinois in Chicago. Renata considers being mentored by a renowned French perfumer, participating in fragrance hunting during trips abroad, and earning a certification from the American Society of Perfumers as some of the highlights of her career. She is an active member of Society of Cosmetic Chemists and Women in Flavor and Fragrance Commerce Foundation, where she served on the board of directors for several years.
