Supervisory Responsibilities: Direct supervisory responsibility for Quality Lab Technicians, Incoming QA Technicians and indirect supervisory responsibility for Line QC Technicians Provides training and mentoring as needed Selection, coaching, performance feedback, and discipline as needed Duties/Responsibilities: Supports Operations and other internal cross-functional departments to identify improvement in current processes related to production and quality performance Organizational Lead for all Quality Functions including, Quality Assurance, Quality Lab and Document Control Investigates quality non-conformances and provides and executes corrective action to internal and external stake-holders Effectively manage the staff of QA, Document Control, and Lab personnel to provide “Best In Class” support to IKI client base Develops and implements quality standard testing and evaluation processes to meet customer specifications Reviews Master Work Orders and Blending Work Orders to ensure client specifications are accurate Responsible for coordination and execution of client quality audits Regularly communicates externally with client quality contacts regarding production quality issues including non-conformances and corrective actions Reports raw material quality issues to procurement for corrective action Responsible for sourcing and quoting quality and lab supplies/assets Authors SOP’s related to quality processes Develops training content for quality personnel based on the IKI Quality Management System Ensures adequate staffing of quality personnel Other duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities Understanding of GMP, EPA and FDA regulated products Knowledge of analytical lab testing equipment Microbial experience preferred, but not required Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Time management skills with along with sense of urgency Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong supervisory and leadership skills Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or engineering required 5+ years of successful experience in a quality leadership role Previous Article R&D Sourcing Manager (Chemical Buyer) 0
