Title: Inside Sales Rep

Dept: Orchidia or Flavor Sales

Rpts To: Sales Director - America

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

 

Essential Job Functions

The Inside Sales Rep will be responsible for the following:

  • Developing new business opportunities.
  • Servicing existing business.
  • Assisting Outside sales rep when needed
  • Manage customer database, identify and qualify new leads, initiate communication, and ensure follow-up is done in a timely manner.
  • Using strategic analysis to determine potential profit and costs associated with each opportunity.
  • Maintaining awareness of industry trends as well as fragrance trends. Effectively present and articulate product features and benefits.  Utilize consultative approach to evaluate and understand customer’s business and needs.
  • Reporting sales activity using company CRM.
  • Other duties as required.
  • Expert on using LinkedIn/other online platforms – search new contacts.
  • Manage Knowde/PCP leads.
  • Send a monthly report to marketing regarding inquiries coming from sales@orchidia.com

The Inside Sales Rep will build long-term relationships with clients, along with supporting clients in their endeavors to create new fragrances, helping them utilize our products effectively, and offering customized solutions. Inside Sales Reps are required to follow all SOP’s and GMP’s and other department specific training. To ensure product safety and quality, the Inside Sales Representative is responsible for controlling physical contaminants, properly storing personal items, and reporting suspicious people or activities to a supervisor or Human Resources. Backup for this position is the Key Account Manager.

 

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Degree in Chemistry, Biology and/or business is preferable
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and a persuasiveness to negotiate and close sales are required.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Outlook, MS Excel/Word, and ERP
  • Enthusiastic, highly motivated, goal-oriented individual with a serious work ethic, positive attitude and exceptional creativity and innovation.
  • Some travel may be required to meet with customers and attend trade shows.
  • Reliable, predictable attendance is required.
  • Execute a daily routine of strategic territory management. Able to create short term/long term strategy for success

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Employee must have no allergies to ingredients common in a fragrance lab.

None

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work in a climate-controlled Office Environment.
