Biography

Phil Klepak has 31 years of direct experience in all aspects of Antiperspirant and Deodorant Technology with Reheis/Summit Research/Elementis where he was Global Director of Technical Services. Phil taught the SCC’s continuing education course on Antiperspirants & Deodorants for many years.

Phil is well versed in APD product development including chemistry, physiology of sweating, mechanisms of action of the aluminum and aluminum/zirconium actives, formulation and process troubleshooting, deodorancy and antiperspirancy clinical testing protocols and monitoring of studies, regulatory and label claim considerations, and product safety.

In addition, he has extensive technical experience on the manufacture, characterization, and use of aluminum-based sterile vaccine adjuvants in veterinary and human vaccine applications. This is very specialized knowledge.

Phil also has prior experience working on other OTC products such as fluoride toothpaste, anti-dandruff shampoo, and first aid products, as well as various household an ir freshener consumer products.
