Emeritus Members
The Board of Directors voted to elevate the status of the following General Members to "Emeritus" at their June Board meeting: M. Catherine L. Chung (MW), Joseph DiSomma (CA), Burt Like (NY), Donald Macron (NY), Mohammed Mohuidden (CA), Sergio Nacht, Ph.D. (CA), Sarah Shuttleworth (NY) and Laurence Smith (NY). If you feel you are qualified to have your status changed to an Emeritus Member, please forward a letter to the National Office.

Address Changes
Throughout the year many of our members change jobs or relocate and forget to notify the National Office. Without notification, these members may not receive important mailings and eventually are made inactive. If you know of someone who has moved, please ask them if they have contacted the National Office regarding their address change.

Dues Renewal
Renewal notices for 2009 membership will be sent August 1st. Second Notices will be sent October 1st and Final Notices will be sent November 1st. Members who do not renew by December 31st will be made inactive.

Retention Contest
The Board of Directors is please to announce that there will once again be a Retention Contest among the Chapters to see which Chapter is able to retain the most members during the dues renewal period for 2009. The chapter with the highest percentage of retention based on their membership total as of August 1st will be named the winner.

Employment Listing
As a benefit to our members who may be unemployed, the National Office prepares and mails upon request a monthly employment listing. If you are aware of a job opening, please forward the details to the National Office. This information will be included in the following month's listing. This is a great opportunity for members who are searching for a job and a good source for companies seeking the right person to fill a position. The National Office also maintains a Resume Bank for its members. If you are seeking a position send your resume to the National Office.

Voluntary Contributions
Subsequent to our Winter Newsletter, the Society received a Century Club contribution from Paul Chapin. All funds received support the educational programs of the Society. The Society truly appreciates the generosity of all those members who have made voluntary contributions.
