The New York Chapter is the largest chapter of the Society with close to 1500 members, 100 of which are Emeritus members of the Society. The New York Chapter was the second chapter started by the Society in 1955. Even though it is called the New York Chapter, all their meetings, which they hold several times a year, take place in New Jersey. Their newsletter is called Cosmetiscope and they also maintain their own website. The chapter is well known for their annual Suppliers Day which is normally held at the New Jersey Exposition Center in Raritan Center in May.
