Maison G. de Navarre Medal Award
The Society's highest honor recognizes individuals for their technical contributions to cosmetic science. Presented annually.

Literature Award
A scroll and honorarium are presented annually to the author or authors of scientific papers in basic research judged to be an outstanding contribution to cosmetic science and technology.

Robert A. Kramer Lifetime Service Award
Awarded at the discretion of the Board of Directors to an individual who has given extraordinary service over the course of his or her membership.

Shaw Mudge Award Sponsored by Ciba Specialty Chemicals Corporation
A scroll and honorarium are awarded for the best paper presented at the Society's Annual Scientific Seminar.

SCC Award Sponsored by McIntyre Group, Ltd.
A scroll and honorarium are awarded for the best paper presented at the Society's Annual Scientific Meeting.

Hans Schaeffer Award Sponsored by Arch Personal Care Products
A scroll and honorarium are awarded annually for the Most Innovative Paper presented at either an Annual Meeting or Seminar.

Allan B. Black Award Sponsored by Presperse, Inc.
A scroll and honorarium are awarded annually for the Best Paper on make-up technology either presented at an Annual Meeting or Seminar, or published in the Journal of Cosmetic Science, The Official Journal of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists.

Joseph P. Ciaudelli Award Sponsored by Croda, Inc.
A scroll and honorarium are awarded annually for the best article appearing in the Journal of Cosmetic Science on the subject of hair care technology.

SCC Award Sponsored by The HallStar Company
A scroll and honorarium are awarded for the Best Paper that makes the greatest scientific contribution to knowledge in the field of protecting against or ameliorating damage to human skin caused by exposure to UV radiation presented at the Society's Annual Scientific Seminar.

Frontier of Science Award Lecture Sponsored by Cosmetic & Toiletries Magazine
An honorarium given to a speaker, who has achieved exceptional national or international stature in the scientific community, for delivering a lecture at the Annual Scientific Meeting.

Keynote Award Lecture Sponsored by Ruger Chemical Corporation
An honorarium given to a speaker, who has achieved exceptional national or international stature in the scientific community, for delivering a lecture at the Annual Scientific Meeting.

Society of Cosmetic Chemists Student Poster Award Sponsored by DD-Chemco, Inc.
Awarded annually in conjunction with the Annual Scientific Seminar, honorariums are given for first, second, third and fourth place Best Student Poster.

Young Scientist Award
Presented each year to recognize the outstanding achievements of new cosmetic scientists throughout the industry. Each year every manufacturer, supplier or other organization in the personal care industry may select an individual in their employ as a recipient of this award. The criteria for selection is made by the individual company, however, the SCC requires the recipient be an active member of the Society for at least one year and working in the industry less than 10 years.

Information is sent in March of each year and is posted on the SCC Website. To request an application, contact Bill Cowen at the National Office. The submission deadline is July 1st each year. The awards may be presented at an SCC Chapter Meeting or through an internal corporate presentation. Recipient names are listed in the SCC Winter Newsletter.

Chapter Awards
There are two chapter awards that are considered National Awards. They are the Chapter Merit Award and the Chapter Best Speaker Award.

Chapter Merit Award
The Chapter Merit Award is awarded to a Chapter Member for outstanding service, dedication and voluntary services over a period of time. A scroll is provided by National for presentation by the Chapter. Recommendations for this award originates with each Chapter and are submitted to the National Office.

Chapter Best Speaker Award
The Chapter Best Speaker Award is given for the best scientific paper presented before each Chapter during a given calendar year. Recommendations for this award originates with the Chapters and are submitted to the National Office. A scroll and Honorarium ($250 for a manuscript submission and $150 for an abstract submission) is provided by National for presentation by the Chapter.
