Cosmetic science is a fascinating intersection of the disciplines of chemistry, physics, biology, physiology, and psychology. By integrating these fundamental areas, cosmetic science is able to advance our basic understanding of personal health and beauty, and the application of cosmetic science continually drives innovation across a wide range of markets and product categories.
The Journal of Cosmetic Science (JCS) is an international journal whose mission is to publish the latest advances in cosmetic science for the benefit our Society and the broader scientific community. The Journal aims to provide readers with high quality, peer-reviewed technical articles covering basic and applied research in cosmetic science, as well as advances in technology and product innovation for cosmetics and personal care.
In an effort to better serve our readers and expand the reach of the JCS, we are seeking Associate Technical Editors in specific areas of cosmetic science. As members of the Editorial Board, the Associate Technical Editors will serve to better leverage the diverse scientific backgrounds and networks of our members to identify content for the Journal and deliver high quality, high impact articles. We also desire to improve the quality and turnaround time of our peer review process, and we believe by engaging the deep expertise and passion of our members we will be able to meet this goal. Specifically, we are seeking Associate Technical Editors in the following categories:
- Analytical Chemistry
- Clinical Testing
- Color Cosmetics
- Formulation Science & Technology
- Fragrance Science & Technology
- Hair Science & Technology
- Measurement Science & Product Testing (i.e. instrumental analysis other than Analytical Chemistry)
- Microbiology & Microbiome
- Sensory Science & Consumer Testing
- Skin Biology & Skin Care Technology
Interested volunteers should submit a CV to email@example.com and detail in the subject line the technical area(s) for which they wish to be considered.
We encourage our members to take advantage of this unique opportunity to engage with our international scientific community, advance the mission of cosmetic science, and enhance the impact of JCS.
